Jim and I were married in Carmi on December 7, 1969, after I graduated from Eastern. We lived on the US Naval Base at Newfoundland, Canada, where he was stationed; and I taught in the Dept. of Defense School System. We have lived in Springfield for almost 40 years. We retired from the State of Illinois at the end of 2002. Our 40th Anniversary in '09 was celebrated with a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. We have a grandson, Owen Kai, who was born March 10, 2010 in Scottsdale, AZ. I belong to several organizations for fun and entertainment.
